I will be performing a new piece for BLASTING VOICE, a series curated by Ashland Mines (TOTAL FREEDOM) for The Suzanne Geiss Company in NYC. The series runs from July 11th through July 28th, and includes 27 solo performers. My show will be on July 12th at 6pm sharp and I am sharing the bill with Kyp Malone (of TV on the Radio) and David Riley (of Mirror Mirror). The Suzanne Geiss Company is located at 76 Grand Ave in Manhattan.

"Brutal Set"
I will be one of 11 performers in Math Bass' collaborative performance "Brutal Set" in the Made in L.A biennial at the Hammer Museum in Los Angeles. We will be performing on June 22 at 8pm and June 24th at 2pm. More information about Made in L.A can be found here. Please come!
Witches and Heretics Portfolio
I made a new drawing for a portfolio of off-set prints curated by Erik Ruin entitled Witches and Mad Prophets, in which he asked 13 artists to create an image of a visionary heretic from history. The portfolio release party will happen on June 8th in Providence (with details below) and more information on ordering the portfolio will follow shortly.

ONE National Gay & Lesbian Archives presents Let Your Body In, an exhibition of work by contemporary queer artists alongside artworks and objects from the collections at ONE Archives. Participating artists include Maya Bookbinder, EMR (Math Bass & Dylan Mira), Aimee Goguen, Laurel Frank, Kim Kelly, and Lee Relvas. Additional pieces from the archives include works by Roger Campbell, Harold L. Dittmer, G.N., Olaf Odegaard, Tomata du Plenty, John Quitman, and James Snodgrass. The exhibition explores creative approaches to activating the body and playful ways of engaging with queer histories and culture.

Rind has a LP entitled "Exhaust Yourself" released in November 2011 by Rotted Tooth Recordings in an edition of 250 copies on clear vinyl, with hand-screenprinted album sleeves.

SF Release Party for Gay Genius Comics Anthology

Solo Show of Paintings and Drawings!
I'm having a solo show of paintings and drawings at the gallery Win Wilder Hall in Rockland Maine, a new space started by New York-based artists Ashley Seelig and Joshua Cardoso. The opening reception is July 1st from 6pm to 8pm and until July 27th. More info can be found at www.winwilderhall.com.
Group Show at New Gallery in Maine!
Two paintings of mine will be included in the inaugural group show at the new art space Win Wilder Gallery in Rockland, Maine. The show, entitled "Crazy Cat Lady", will also include the work of Andrew Graham, Ashley Seelig, Cassie Raihl, Devin Powers, Haeri Yoo, Joshua Cardoso, Kate Parnell, and Warren Seelig. The grand opening is Friday May 27th, 5 to 8pm, and will be up until June 26th.

Also, I will be having my first solo show of paintings here in July!

Gay Genius comic anthology comes out April 17th!
The Gay Genius comic anthology, edited by Annie Murphy and published by Sparkplug Comic Books, is coming out April 17th! The anthology includes the work of Silky Shoemaker, Kubby Bear, Ellery Russian, Mat Defiler, Elisha Lim, Sailor Holladay, Annie Murphy, Clio Reese Sady, Sarah Sass Biscarra, Adee Roberson, Matt Runkle, Edie Fake, Royal Newbold, Jackie Davis, myself and others.

There will be a release party in Portland on April 17th at the In Other Words bookstore, and a San Francisco release party is in the works for July. Write to me for a copy, or find it at your local zine shop!

Everybody! Travelling exhibition goes to Minnesota...
Everybody! Visual Resistance in Feminist Health Movements, 1969-2009, the group show curated by Bonnie Fortune and first shown at I-Space in Chicago in 2010, is traveling to the Carleton College Gallery in Minnesota. I have three paintings from the You Make Me Feel Plenty series in the show, and the exhibit also includes the work of Heather Ault, Cambridge Documentary Films, CureThis!, Chicago Women's Graphics Collective, Melanie Cervantes, Tee Corine, Christa Donner, Docs Populi Archive, Suzann Gage, Terri Kapsalis, Suzanne Lacy, Madsen Minax, Pink Bloque, Favianna Rodriguez, subRosa, Laura Szumowski, Video Data Bank, Sara Welch, Women on Waves, and Faith Wilding.

The show will open on April 1st 2011 with a performance by subRosa (Hyla Willis and Faith Wilding) and close on May 8th.

Bless This Mess: Group show and performances
Three of my Oil Spill embroidery pieces are included in the group show Bless This Mess at Gallery 400 alongside the work of Edie Fake, Jail Flanagan, and Robin Hustle. The show is up from January 19th to March 12th 2011 at 400 S. Peoria, Chicago. I will be doing a solo performance in a double bill with a performance by Edie Fake at the gallery on Wednesday March 2nd at 7pm. It will be my first time performing solo in two years!
